We are dedicated to helping all animals and making the world a better place for them and the humans who love them.
The adoption process begins by completing an adoption application. Once your application has been reviewed, a volunteer will contact you to set up a meeting and a home visit. If you are approved to adopt based on the meeting and visit, we will schedule an ideal time to finalize the adoption. If adoptions do not work out, we will take our animals back at any point.

In the spring of 1975, there was a group of individuals who came together with a common interest. Advocacy towards the welfare of animals within the Hays community. These people gave their time to organize a public fundraiser in order to start the construction of an animal shelter in March of 1977. Construction began in August of 1977 and the shelter had its “Grand Opening” on May 12th, 1978.
