Web of Life Animal Outreach, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit (no-kill) animal rescue organization founded in 2005, on the principal belief that all living things are connected and together, earth’s many species form an intricate “web of life”. We are dedicated to saving injured, abused and neglected companion animals and finding each a responsible care giver, committed to them for life. Education through demonstration is the key to ending the euthanasia of healthy animals. By teaching responsible pet ownership skills and compassion for life, we will indeed change the future. Web of Life Animal Outreach, Inc. operates a 7 acre no-kill companion animal sanctuary in Chesapeake, Virginia. We simulate a home environment for dogs/puppies, cats/kittens, small mammals, birds, horses and livestock to live safely and comfortably while awaiting adoption. Each animal receives a behavior evaluation, wellness exam, vaccines, spay or neuter surgery and/or grooming, if needed. They are well socialized, interacting with people as young as 6! Animals are given all the amenities they would receive in a responsible loving forever home like clean blankets, treats, toys, television, play time, grooming and social play time with others of their species. A 12 stall barn with three turnout pastures is home to horses, goats, pot-bellied pigs, llamas and turkeys. We rehabilitate, adopt out or provide a permanent sanctuary for them all.
