Warrick Humane Society started in 1983 out of a few generous people's homes. Once we realized the growing need for an established no-kill shelter, we decided to build a safe place for animals to stay until adoption. Since then, we have added our Home Away Pet Spa, a grooming and boarding facility for the community where all proceeds help the animals in our shelter. A lot of dogs and cats depend on us, so we also have fundraisers, volunteer opportunities and events to raise money and awareness year-round.
1.) Find your perfect match by coming in or viewing our adoptable pets online 2.) Fill out an application either at the shelter or online *Please note: sometimes we receive a high volume of applications and only call approved applicants back until the animal is pre-adopted. 3.) Once approved, we can continue the adoption paperwork process! 4.) Pay adoption fee or deposit (we cannot hold any animals without a deposit) 6.) Take home your new furry loved one! (If the animal you are wanting is under the age of 6 months, it has to stay at the shelter until it has been spayed or neutered)
