Tyson's Chance Animal Foundation - Shelbyville Pet Shelter

Tyson's Chance Animal Foundation

Tyson’s Chance Animal Foundation Inc. was founded by Ashley Shelburne in February 2011. Tyson’s specializes in the rescue of special needs animals. We are known for taking in dogs with severe issues, be it medical, behavioral, or just the ones that nobody wants. About 50% of our animals are considered “special needs.” We love Pit Bulls and senior dogs. We love to heal the sick and rehabilitate the misunderstood. We also adopt out puppies, kittens, and adults with no issues at all. Tyson’s rescues all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments.

Adoption Process

To adopt from Tyson’s Chance you need to fill out an application and email it to us at [email protected] or mail to 353 Kentucky St. Shelbyville, Ky 40065. You may also fill one out on site while you are visiting. All pets are kept up to date on their vaccines. The adoption fee is $200 for dogs and $75 for cats. This fee is just a small portion towards the cost of care for each animal. This adoption fee covers up to date rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordetella vaccinations, feline lekumia testing (cats), negative heartworm testing, microchipping, spaying or neutering, and monthly routine medication (heart worm and flea prevention). If you are wanting to adopt or visit a pet, the first step is to fill out our Meet & Greet Questionnaire and email us to set up a time for a meet and greet.
