Toby's Friends Animal Rescue - Dearborn Pet Shelter

Toby's Friends Animal Rescue

Toby's Friends Animal Rescue, Inc. is a Nonprofit organization formed in 2014. Our mission is to save dogs and cats from public shelters whose time is about to run out, (our primary effort), as well as owner surrender and owner deceased pets, (our secondary effort), providing space is available in a foster home. We do not have a brick and mortar building, nor are we a shelter. We foster out of our homes, putting a limit on how many we can take in. Toby's Friends will work to improve the lives of outdoor free-roaming and feral felines by educating the public on how they can help cats in their surrounding areas; provide guidance on how to implement TNR (trap/neuter/return) practices. We are passionate about bringing animals and people together to enrich each others lives. We envision a world where the pet overpopulation decreases through responsible pet ownership and spay/neuter practices.

Our founders were taking a walk around the track at a local school in the middle of winter and came across a mother cat with small kittens under the bleachers.
