  • On Saturday, October 15, 2016 we adopted Darla at the Moreno Valley Petsmart. We absolutely fell in love with her. On Monday after adoption, I took her to the vet. I was told by TLC that she was 4 years old, turns out that she's 8. She needed her ears cleaned out (full of "black stuff") and drops. She also is in need of oral surgery. I don't have a problem with the vet bills, I expected something with a rescue dog. My problem is being lied to about her age. On the cage that she was in it stated that she was 4, all of her paperwork states that she is 4 years old. I feel as though I've been robbed 4 years of her life. When I contacted TLC, I was told what a great "deal" I got for the type of dog she is. I was also told I could return her for a full refund. We were not even thinking of returning her, we adore her. I just want people to know that they were not honest and forthcoming of her age and to be careful because what you see is not exactly what you get. We love her, just not ok with the lies that have been told.
