Our mission is to help save the lives of pit bulls, even if it is one rescue at a time. We are an all-volunteer group of individuals dedicated to the prevention of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of these beautiful, loyal, and fun-loving dogs. We are a certified 501c3 Non-Profit Organization [Tax-ID 61-1577592]. We give a voice and a safe haven for the very misunderstood, neglected and abused pit bull breed. We believe in giving the pit bulls we pull into our rescue program the best options possible for the health and well being of the rest of their lives.
Our adoption process begins with an application. Once your application has been received, we will contact your landlord, veterinarian & personal reference. If all checks out, we follow up with a home visit to where the dog will be living. The next step is the sleep over; the adoption fee of $150 will be collected at that time and held until completion of the adoption contract. A sleep over is when the dog you are intending to adopt spends 7 nights with you to make sure that everyone is the right fit for one another. We ask that you keep in touch those 7 days with updates & pictures. Once we are sure that everything will work out, you will be asked to sign the adoption contract to finalize your adoption. Please note, our adoption fee is not a sales price, but a donation to help offset the medical expenses incurred in getting our dogs healthy and ready for adoption. Lastly, we will need to get a “Family Picture”. The family picture is a picture of your whole family with your newest addition. This picture is posted to our facebook page. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, on heartworm preventative & micro-chipped.
