The Forgotten Pet Advocates is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that supports animal welfare. We are the voice to those animals that have no one to advocate for them. These animals have been abandoned or waiting in boarding facilities, in Houston and surrounding areas.
If you would like to adopt one of the Forgotten Pet dogs, we ask that you submit an application online (http://www.forgottenpetadvocates.com/redesign/?page_id=4064 – no obligation and a great start). Although, we ask quite a few questions on this application it is to find out as much information as we can about you and your home. Please answer every question on the application to the best of your ability - failure to do so will slow down the application process. If you have difficulty with the on-line application, please email us at [email protected]. Once we receive your application it will be reviewed by one of our volunteer advocates. If there are questions about your application or clarification is needed, you will be contacted by e-mail or telephone. We will confirm home ownership or contact your landlord, references and your veterinarian (if applicable). Once your application is approved and the meet and greet is a success, we will contact you to schedule a required home visit at a mutually convenient time (in many occasions the delivery of the dog is done at this moment as well). Please be patient. Our organization is manned completely by volunteers and most of them work full-time.
