Did you know there's a house in Anacortes where cats live? At the Cat's Meow, we help cats and the people who love them. Our programs include our unique cage-free adoption center where we shelter homeless cats until they find loving homes, free spay/neuter for cats in our community, a free cat food and litter pantry and an indoor/outdoor sanctuary for feral cats. We're a special kind of shelter. Cats live in open, light-filled living rooms - they lounge together on futons and soak up the sun in screened outdoor catios while they wait for a home to call their own. The Cat's Meow has been working in our community since 2004, making a difference for cats and people. We've helped more than 1,500 homeless cats and kittens find their way to loving families. We've provided free spay/neuter to help cat owners since 2011 and we've humanely managed and reduced the feral cat population. Our goal has always been to help cats and the people who love them.
Adopting a cat from the Cat's Meow is a simple process. Review the list of available cats to see who you might like to meet. We recommend saving your favorites. Contact us and tell us who you're interested in. We're happy to answer any questions and help you find a cat that suits your family's lifestyle. We'll schedule a time to meet and introduce you to the cats. If you find a good match, we'll complete some simple paperwork and in most cases you're able to take your new cat or kitten home the same day.
