The Bitty Kitty Brigade exists to serve orphaned, neonatal kittens ages 0-5 weeks who are not yet eating on their own. We are a no-kill organization. All kittens are cared for in foster homes and receive high-quality nutrition and appropriate medical care. Kittens are kept in our care until they are 12 weeks old, are spayed or neutered, microchipped, FeLV tested and receive all age-appropriate vaccinations. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are funded exclusively through donations and grants and are entirely volunteer run. We receive kittens from local impounds, area rescues and rescuers and other members of the community. The Bitty Kitty Brigade was founded in 2018 by Joan Barrett and Mandy Dwyer.
If you’re thinking about adding a kitten or two to your family, a Bitty Kitty is a great choice! Kittens who have been bottlefed tend to be extra friendly and snuggly! By adopting a kitten from the Bitty Kitty Brigade, you’ll be supporting our no-kill organization and making room for us to take in another orphan kitten. We require that kittens be adopted in pairs, or go to a home that already has another young companion animal. Read about why we do this. All of our cats receive high-quality veterinary care and exams. Prior to adoption, all of our kittens are: spayed/neutered; treated for external and internal parasites; microchipped; FVRCP (distemper) vaccinated; FeLV tested. We charge an adoption fee of $225/kitten and $400/pair to offset part of these costs. This is payable by cash, check, or credit cards. All of our kittens live in foster homes and adoption visits are by appointment only. You can view our available kittens and if you’re interested in meeting one, fill out an application from their profile. Questions? Email us at adopt@bittykittybrigade.org.
