Adoption Process

Pet ownership is a serious commitment that the entire household needs to consider and agree to this responsibility before the Husky or Malamute is adopted. We want to ensure that each adoptive household is aware of and willing to accept the physical and financial responsibilities of pet ownership. Please read and thoughtfully consider each question on the application and note that providing false information may result in the forfeiture of any adoption. After you submit your adoption application, a Taysia Blue volunteer will contact you to learn more about what you are looking for in a new furry companion. We will then assign you with an adoption counselor to help you find a good fit and will help you navigate our process all the way through the adoption! We are most interested in which type dog will be a good fit for you and your family and the other pets in your home. Submission of the adoption application does not guarantee that you will be adopting the dog, nor is there any obligation to filling out the application. The application is simply the first step in the adoption process. Please be aware that it will take time and that we will make every effort to complete the process quickly. The number of applications submitted and the availability of volunteers to schedule (virtual) meetings will affect how quickly we are able to meet with you.
