Tall Tails Beagle Rescue was originally founded in 2005 by Chris Abbe. The group has helped rescue and/or rehome hundreds of hounds. Chris has worked with overcrowded shelters in the south, accepted animals when owners could no longer keep them, provided an outlet for local shelters, and helped street dogs of Puerto Rico find loving homes in the US. Hounds exhibit unique characteristics: Some like closeness with their humans while others prefer to just explore. The bay of a beagle is music to the ear of many. Big floppy ears and the playful antics are the earmarks of all beagles. Tall Tails Beagle Rescue hope to continue Chris' legacy, as we begin a new facet of Tall Tails Beagle Rescue under new management. We continue to search for that perfect bond between family and hound.
