The Animal Control Program’s primary purpose is to implement rabies safety control measures. This involves enforcing laws related to Animal control which includes ensuring dogs and cats are immunized against rabies. Animal Control strives to reduce animal suffering and distress by providing a safe environment for lost or abandoned pets, facilitating the safe return of pets to families, administering adoptions of stray or unwanted dogs and cats and educating the public about responsible pet ownership.

Adoption Process

1. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet. Potential adopters may search online for a potential pet or come to the shelter. 2. Meet the Pet. Spend some time with the dog or cat you're interested in to make sure they're the right fit for you and your home. 3. Sign Adoption Contract. We have an adoption agreement that you will need to read, agree to, and sign. 4. Pay Fee. Our adoption fee for dogs and cats is $100 and includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, tests, and exam. 5. Take the Pet Home. The vet appointment is scheduled for the next day. The adopter will need to pick up their new pet at our vet's office at 4pm. You stop by find an animal that is right for you, we call the vet and setup the appointment, you pay $100.00 this covers the spaying or neutering ,rabies shot, parvo vaccine and a general physical that same afternoon you pickup your animal from the vets office. We can not put holds on any animals first come first serve.
