Stand Up Pups is a non-profit 501c3 animal rescue. We are a 100% foster based rescue, although our end goal is to one day build a sanctuary to home dogs in need until they find their forever home. Our mission is to promote spay/neuter, help decrease the number of dogs being killed every second, and work towards making a dent in the overcrowded shelters, saving lives of strays and abandoned animals.
Our adoption process is the following: 1. You submit an adoption application for a specific dog in our rescue or if you want to adopt in general and use us to help you find the perfect fit for your family. 2. We will review your application, follow up on references and background checks. If you are an approved adopter, we will email you and begin the next steps. 3. We will set up a meet and greet with the dog you are interested in. If you have other dogs, we will schedule a meet to introduce them as well. If it goes well, we will then do a home check. The Stand Up Pups rep will come to your home and make sure it looks like a good fit for our dog(s). 4. If all parties feel like this dog is the one, you will fill out the adoption agreement (once the Stand Up Pups rep says to) and pay the adoption fee. You will then get your new family member!
