The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Hancock County (SPCA) is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion of animal welfare, to the protection, sheltering, and placement of companion animals into responsible, loving homes, to humane education in the community, and to local, state and national animal advocacy. We are a life-saving shelter serving, first and foremost, local animal populations and pet owners.
First, view our cats and dogs that are currently looking for their prrr-fect home! Once you’ve found a pet that strikes your fancy, fill out an adoption application. Our staff will go over the form with you to make sure you and that pet are a good match, and then will set up a time for you to get to know that potential new family member. If you don’t currently see an animal on our pages that’s the right fit for you, you may still fill out an application, leaving the pet name blank, and indicating what pet characteristics you are looking for. We’ll call you when a potential match comes along!
