Southern Skies Labrador Rescue & Adoption

Southern Skies Labrador Rescue & Adoption (SSLR) is a 501c3 tax deductible non-profit dedicated to the rescue and adoption of Labradors and other working dog breeds that have been abandoned at Alabama high kill shelters, are owner surrenders and strays. We strive to communicate for the voiceless by working closely with local and national animal rescues and other groups for the benefit of animal welfare and to promote changes to our local Alabama laws. We dedicate ourselves to educating and communicating on the importance of spaying and neutering your pets to our local and neighboring communities.

Step 1 - Fill out a Pre-Adoption General Application. Step 2 - Application Preliminary Review. 2A - References will be Contacted / Verified. Step 3 - Home Visit / Inspection. Step 4 - Q/A Interview between Applicant & Foster Home of Available Dogs. Step 4 B - Local Adoption Trial Period (Optional ONLY). Step 5 - Adoption Official. Step 6 - Notification of Spay/Neuter & Return of Deposit. Step 7 - Optional Post Adoption Follow-up Visit
