Adoption Process

An APPLICATION TO ADOPT, may include: (1) Filling out an application accompanied by a $25.00 application fee. Application fee can be submitted to info@txlabrescue.org (2) A phone interview for the applicant, his/her veterinary and/or personal references. (3) A review of the application by the STLRR Board for final approval The application process may take anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks to be completed. STLRR operates on an all volunteer basis, and we are not always able to complete applications as quickly as quickly as prospective adopters would like. If you are approved to adopt, you will be invited out to meet with the dogs available for adoption which may be in foster homes or kennels. Please be aware that we cannot promise that a particular dog who caught your eye will be available until the application process is completed. The adoption process involves some time and effort, but be patient....we want to ensure that we match you with the right dog. Once a match has been made, we will execute an Adoption Contract, and collect the adoption fee
