SNAFU Rescue (Short Noses And Friends United Rescue) is dedicated to raising money to remove dogs from the commercial breeding system and commercial breeder dog auctions, and raising money for those dog's vet bills. We also network as much as possible with commercial and private breeders for breeder releases. We strive to maintain a confidential and professional relationship with all of our breeder contacts. We will never name a breeder(s) or share breeder's information. Please do not request any breeder information from us, as it will not be provided. SNAFU Rescue also takes in many dogs from owner surrender situations and any shelters, as needed.
We typically receive a lot of adoption applications for each dog when they become available. To help yourself stand out in the adoption application, please reference the specific dog you are interested in, along with any needs or behaviors that have been referenced in their bio. Please also give as much detail as to why your home would be the best fit for that particular dog. Also, feel free to include pictures with your adoption application! It helps the foster families get a feel for you, your family and the home their foster dog would be potentially be adopted to. Once applications are reviewed for each individual dog, we will conduct phone interviews with a handful of the selected top choice applicants. As much as we would like to contact every applicant via phone to get a better feel for them and discuss the dog, it is just not possible. Please keep in mind we are all volunteers who work full time jobs and have families of our own, so this process may take a while.
