Sierra Nevada German Shepherd Rescue - Shingle Springs Pet Shelter

Sierra Nevada German Shepherd Rescue

SNGSR is a fully volunteer run, foster based nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded September 14, 2016 that focuses on rescuing, rehabilitating & re-homing at-risk GSD’s from local shelters in Northern California. Our Mission is to provide a sanctuary for abandoned, abused & dogs at risk of being EUTHANIZED throughout NORTHERN CALIFORNIA SHELTERS. Our goal is to place them in a permanent home that best suits each dog’s specific needs with qualified owners. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines (DHPP/Rabies only), micro-chipped and heartworm tested (adult dogs).

Adoption Process

Complete all questions and submit the Adoption Questionnaire, Landlord Consent (when applicable) and Release of Liability. We must have all 3 forms (2 if the Landlord Consent is not required). You can click on each name of the form and you will automatically be redirected. The SNGSR Staff will review your application, you will be contacted by phone or email from a SNGSR staff member (within 7-10 business days from date the application was received) who will provide more information about SNGSR and may ask you further questions or answer any questions for you. If the initial review of applications and phone interview are approved, SNGSR will schedule a home visit. If the home visit is approved, we will discuss which/what dog(s) you were interested in adopting and schedule a "Meet & Greet".
