Shepherd Help and Rescue Effort, Inc. or S.H.A.R.E. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Florida corporation whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find loving homes for German Shepherd Dogs in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties. We work tirelessly to save these regal dogs from high kill shelters throughout the South Florida region. Many of the dogs we rescue are scheduled to be euthanized or have special needs that require medical treatment (such as heartworm disease or orthopedic issues from traumatic injuries). Support for S.H.A.R.E. is completely through the work of our unpaid volunteers and supporters through donations.
Our adoption process is intended to match the temperaments and needs of our rescued dogs to those of potential adopters. Our adoption coordinators will assist you through every step of the adoption process. They are familiar with the needs and personalities of the available dogs and will work with you to ensure the dog compliments your family’s life and activity level. Please understand that not every dog will be a good fit with every family. For many of our dogs, we prefer that the family have experience with German Shepherd Dogs and/or other large breed dogs. We carefully screen our dogs and potential adopters to ensure we are placing the right dog in the right home. Adoptions are made on a best home basis. Please understand that not every dog will be a good fit with every family. If a compatible dog is not available when you submit your application, we will keep your application active until a compatible dog becomes available. Please fill out the adoption application accurately and completely so we can process your application promptly. We do require current or past veterinarian references, please be sure to list phone numbers.

Altho I knew she swallowed something, my vet felt she didn't because she didn't guard her stomach. Stool samples were taken, blood work drawn, fluids pushed, xrays done and still my baby was sick. Finally a more ex
