Shelter Animals Advocates is a non-profit corporation, registered as a public charity in the state of South Carolina. We are a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization, date of determination 2-29-16, effective date 11-18-15, EIN 47-5592668. Donations to Shelter Animals Advocates are tax deductible.
To apply to adopt one of our adoptable animals, please complete the adoption application form.or email [email protected]. You will then be contacted to schedule a meet and greet. Our animals are all in foster homes, in order to arrange a 'meet & greet' you MUST complete an application. Our dogs are also available for viewing at our adoption events (see adoption event page for next scheduled event.) If you adopt an animal you will contract to have a home visit within 2-3 weeks. We do not adopt to families with intact dogs. Dog adoption fee $150. (which includes all vetting plus 1 month heartworm prevention and flea tick prevention and a bag of the food currently on, a martingale collar and leash.). Senior dog adoption fee $75. If you are out of our service area, you are responsible for transport and any associated fees. All animals are spayed-neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention and have been dewormed and microchipped. Transfer of the microchip and any related fees are your responsibility. The dogs that were rescued under our HeartBeat program have received heartworm treatment and are HW negative. .
