Since 1964, the Humane Society of Sheboygan County has been dedicated to its mission: prevent cruelty to animals, relieve suffering among animals, and extend humane education. We are Sheboygan County’s only open admissions shelter. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and shelter 3,000+ homeless animals every year. The Humane Society of Sheboygan County focuses on accessible spay and neuter programs in an effort to beat animal population at its core. Creative adoption efforts and dozens of programs provide support for overlooked animals and work to place homeless animals into loving families.
Visit the shelter to find a pet to adopt. Complete an adoption application. HSSC places animals on a first come, first serve basis. After an animal that is available for adoption has been met with, and only then, the animal’s name can be put on an application. The animal that is applied for must be adopted the same day or within 24 hours of the animal being placed on the application. Exceptions will be made if any animal needs a medical procedure, but then will need to be adopted within 24 hours of being cleared from that procedure. HSSC reserves the right to accommodate alternate timelines for special needs/behavioral issue animals.
