Second Chance Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization located in Georgetown, S.C. We are dedicated to rescuing the homeless, abused and/or neglected dogs and cats in our community. We make it a special part of our Mission to pull the animals off of local euthanasia lists that are in the most critical of need. What makes our rescue stand out is that our main focus is to help find refuge and loving homes for animals that hardly stand a chance at a county shelter; seniors over the age of 9, the heart-worm positive, the 'unfairly' deemed aggressive, the not-so-attractive and the very shy. THESE ANIMALS ARE OUR PRIMARY FOCUS.

Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for abandoned and mistreated dogs and cats until they can be placed in loving homes. Raising awareness through public education, community outreach and an on-site veterinary wellness clinic, we seek to promote respect for the lives of cats and dogs by breaking the cycle of abuse, neglect and pet overpopulation in our community.
