Seattle Area Feline Rescue is located on the border of Seattle and Shoreline, at 14717 Aurora Ave. N, Shoreline, WA 98133. We are a non-profit, no-kill rescue, 501c3 #91-2041961. SAFe Rescue takes in homeless cats and kittens, gives them the care they need to recover, and finds them loving homes. 2,000 felines, including seniors and special needs cats, find homes at SAFe during a typical year as people in search of new friends visit our welcoming storefront Adoption Center. An extensive network of community volunteers and foster families helps the rescue carry out its mission and save more lives.
1. Please look at the available felines and read their bios. When you see a cat(s) you’re interested in, sign up on our waitlist. (NOTE: If a cat is in foster home, it will be stated in their bio. You do not need to sign up on the waitlist for these cats. If you’re interested in a cat housed in foster, please email FosterAdoptions@seattleareafelinerescue.org to learn more.) 2. Once you’re on the waitlist, you’ll be able to see your place in line and your estimated waiting time. You will get a notification text message when you are second on the list so you can plan to be near the Rescue. 3. You will be notified again when you are first on the list. Please come into the Rescue within 10 minutes of being notified. 4. An Adoption Counselor will begin a conversation with you, and if we have cats that may be a good fit, you will have a chance to meet them. 5. Once you’ve decided on a cat(s), you’ll be able to purchase any supplies you need in our retail store and also pay the adoption fee. 6. You’ll be able to take your new cat(s) home with you at the end of your visit.
