Saving Shelter Souls rescues animals from high kill shelters, animals that were dumped or abandoned by their owners. Some are pregnant, some have treatable medical issues, and some are perfectly ok, just no longer wanted by their owners for whatever reason. Because of shelter overcrowding, many wonderful pets are euthanized each day to make room for others. That's where we come in, cleaning up the messes of irresponsible pet owners, saving the unwanted animals from imminent & unnecessary euthanasia, taking care of all their needs, then finding wonderful forever homes for them, where they never have to worry about being abandoned again. We are a very small, all-volunteer organization, dedicated to resolving the injustice that has been heartlessly bestowed on these helpless dogs by irresponsible owners. We are making only a very small dent in the problem. The pet overpopulation is very real & people are complacent when faced with the reality. We have jobs, families, and other obligations, yet we find the time to help the helpless. You ask us, "How do you do it?" We ask you, "How can you not?"
