In 2014, a small group of women with the same heart for dogs saw a need in the community to support dogs in shelters that were in dire need of medical treatment. We partnered with rescues and local veterinarians to help dogs that may otherwise go without the needed medical treatment; many of which would face euthanasia. While the faces have changed over the years the mission of helping dogs in need stays the priority. We’re often asked, “How did you come up with the Savin’ Juice name?” Juice was the name of our very first dog. He was a sweet young Beagle who needed to have both his eyes removed, but he was facing euthanasia at the shelter due to his medical condition. We were able to raise enough funds to rescue Juice and have his eyes removed. Today, his new name is Brian, and he’s living his perfect life with his perfect family. Today, we have expanded our rescue to include more then just medical dogs. We do not shy away from helping any dog we feel we can–whether it be from a high kill shelter in another state, local shelter dogs, owner surrender, or homeless dogs in our community. We will never stray from our original roots of medical dogs. But why stop there when the need is greater? Our motto is: One Dog at a Time. Savin’ Juice is a 100% foster-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We do not have a facility; no kennels to walk through, no stressful environment for our rescues to stay in, no loud barking or extra stress. If we have a foster home that a rescue dog can stay with until their forever home can be found, then we will rescue it. This means the more fosters we have, the more dogs we can save! Please read and respond to confirmation email. 5 Business Days from receipt of confirmation email you will receive an email from our Adoption Coordinator. The typical app takes 1-3 days to complete depending on responsiveness. Applicants should be prepared to schedule the meet within a week of app approval. From meet to adoption there is a 24 hour waiting period. If you are interesting in meeting or adopting one of our adoptable dogs, please complete the online application.
