SASS Rescue is a group of individuals that rescue Shih Tzus from a variety of situations all over the country such as high kill shelters to owner surrenders. We love and care for them in our own homes until a suitable permanent home is found. By having the dogs in our homes it enables us to better help you select the right dog for your family. Our goal is that our dogs will be in a loving home for the rest of their lives.
If you see a furbaby that you are interested in, please fill out our pet adoption application form. Once we have received and reviewed the adoption application, we will contact to inform you whether you have been approved to adopt a pet. If you are approved, we will set up a time for us to do a visit with you and your family (2 and 4 legged members). Once it is determined that the dog you picked out is a good fit for your family, we will then complete the adoption.

Barely Used Pets is not your typical shelter or rescue home. Our environment offers a free-roaming society where the dogs are not kenneled all day but can roam and run freely within a confined, fenced area. Our residents can walk inside and outside as weather permits. All of our dogs are socialized and assessed daily.
