We are located near San Luis, CO and are open by appointment for adoptions. The shelter is high in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of southern Colorado. Wildlife abounds on the site with buffalo, elk, and beaver. In summer, alpine butterflies, and many species of hummingbirds are everywhere. The shelter occupies the former Battle Mt. Goldmine facility - 17,000 sq.ft. of high-quality metal buildings. The Animal Assistance Foundation of Denver has helped us greatly - for example, funding our high tech yellow Mason kennels and our insulated dog houses.
