SAINT Rescue & Adoption Center in Cedar Rapids is dedicated to improving the lives of our homeless cats by placing them in loving, forever homes. SAINT (Saving Animals In Need Today) began in 2000 when our founder began rescuing and adopting out cats and kittens, personally paying all veterinary and medical expenses. The needs became so great, SAINT was formally incorporated in 2010 and became a nonprofit 501c3 animal welfare organization. In October 2013, the Cat Adoption Center in Anamosa was destroyed by a fire. SAINT relocated to SW Cedar Rapids and held our grand opening in March 2014. We are able to accommodate more cats in the Cedar Rapids Adoption Center, averaging 70+ cats.
At SAINT, we believe pets are family and expect applicants to make a lifelong commitment to the animal(s) they adopt. To help make us make a successful match, an application is required and prospective adopters must be approved. All of the animals we take in have been abandoned by someone. We assess each cat carefully and provide necessary medical attention before they are offered for adoption.
