At Safe Haven it is our goal to find the best possible home for animals that have come to us, many times from disruptive situations including abuse and neglect. We encourage taking time to meet and get to know the pets available for adoption to ensure that you find the pet that is the right fit for your family as well as for the pet. We don't want adoptions to fail so it is better to go slow that rush into a decision. Pets must be a match for all the members of your family...including other pets. However, we know that even in the best of circumstances, adoptions do sometimes not work out and we here at Safe Haven stand behind every adoption. We also stand behind the health of our adoptable pets and every pet will have been completely vet checked, spayed or neutered, up to date on all shots appropriate to age and micro chipped. We do know always know all the characteristics of the animals but we will share all known information about our adoptable pets from training, to behaviors to health history. For the future happiness and safety of our pets, we sometimes have restrictions on placement taking into consideration the physical surroundings of the adoptive home...for instance, all adoptions require a fenced yard, a home visit, veterinary references and most importantly, our pets are family and are house dogs. We are always available before, during and after the adoption to ensure a successful placement.
