S.A.F.E. (Spay/Neuter, Adoption, Foster and Education) Animal Haven is a nonprofit. foster-based, rescue group. We are made up entirely of volunteers, all of whom care deeply about animals and our community. We believe that a caring and compassionate commitment to the pets we share our lives with provide an enriching environment for everyone.
Our adoption process: Completed and signed Adoption Application; Satisfactory veterinarian and personal references; Home visit; Adoption fee of $175 which covers the adoption, appropriate vaccines and medical tests, spay/neuter prior to placement and microchip; Follow-up contact to check on progress. NOTE: Because we are a nonprofit rescue group, we place our fosters within an hour driving distance of the Matthews, NC area ONLY.
