The Roosevelt Animal Shelter works to reunite wayward pets with owners and find forever homes for those up for adoption. Animals found wandering are brought to the shelter to wait for their owners. If you have an animal you can no longer care for, you can bring it to the shelter. Annual dog licenses and rabies certificates are available from the shelter for a small fee. Dogs are required to have a rabies shot every two (2) years. Roosevelt City code allows for up to three (3) dogs per household.
