Rocket Rescue is a no-kill, all volunteer foster network in Skagit County, WA. We adopt out cats and dogs and require that all pets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. We accept stray animals, owner releases, and shelter transfers. We recognize the need for homeless cat and dog rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption and strive to serve our local communities to reduce pet overpopulation.
If you are interested in adopting a dog or cat from Rocket Rescue, please submit an online application. Once your application is reviewed by the foster home, they will contact you. We do our best to place pets in appropriate homes. As an all volunteer organization, we show our pets by appointment only. We require a cat or dog application to determine if a pet might be a good match, and then we will work with you to schedule an adoption appointment. Pets will be ready for adoption at the time of the meeting, so please be prepared to take your pet home with you at that time. All cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Adoption fees for dogs and cats will vary based on age and breed. We understand that not all placements are a good fit. Our policy is to allow a two-week trial period with each adoption (this can be extended if the adopter communicates with the foster home). If a pet is returned, the adoption fee (minus $25.00) will be refunded.
