Retired not rescued greyhound adoption is a non-profit organization founded in 2019 with the goal of supporting ethical, regulated greyhound racing as it now exists in America, and finding happy forever homes for the dogs when they retire. We take pride in knowing and loving each of our dogs and matching them with their perfect family. We operate out of the Kansas City, MO Metro Area and place Dogs Throughout Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa.
To begin the process of adopting a greyhound from RNR, Please Fill out and submit an Application. The process then goes as follows: a representative will review your application and contact you to schedule a phone interview; a home visit is scheduled; a home visit report is written and presented to our board for approval (important note: A fenced yard is not required to place a dog). Once you are approved, we will work with you to find Your perfect greyhound.. We have a List of Recommended Reading you may find helpful in preparing for your New Family Member. During your search, you have the option of fostering with intent to adopt. You Can bring home a dog to stay for up to 14 days to see if you make a good match. If you do, we complete the adoption. We can answer your questions and provide more details during your phone interview and home visit. Our adoption fee is $400.
