Puyallup Animal Rescue - Puyallup Pet Shelter

We are a nonprofit rescue group dedicated to finding permanent homes for homeless dogs and cats in Pierce County, Washington. We do not operate out of a shelter, instead we rely on a network of foster homes to care for our animals until they are adopted.

Adoption Process

The first step, if you are interested in adopting one of our dogs or cats, is to fill out and submit an adoption application. You can request an application by emailing us or by sending an inquiry through Petfinder. A volunteer will contact you after it has been submitted to speak with you about your application and about the pet you are applying to adopt. If you rent, we require your landlord's permission to adopt a dog or a cat. We require a completely fenced yard to adopt a dog. All adopters must agree to and sign an adoption agreement. We do not adopt out pets as gifts unless the recipient is there to pick out the pet themselves. All pets are spayed or neutered before adoption.
