Mission: We believe that every living thing has an inherent right to a happy, healthy and humane life. Helping people keep their pets through guidance, non-monetary support, and education. Providing a service to find perfect homes for domestic animals. Fostering abandoned animals until they find their forever home.
Because Purr-Fect Match Animal Rescue is a foster-based organization, we have no central location where our animals are kept. That creates a different adoption experience from going to a shelter with a central location. Here is how it usually goes: Determine if there is an animal or animals in which you are interested. If you aren't sure, that is OKAY because we want for you to find your purr-fect match. Just let us know why type of animal you are interested in and we will work with you. We will arrange a place for you, the animals you are interested in, and the animals' foster parents to meet or go straight to the adoption since we have a 2-week trial period. With some foster homes, you can meet the animals before the adoption. But an application must be filled out whether we have a meet and greet first, or go straight to the adoption. Fill out the online adoption application form here: http://purrfectmatch.rescuegroups.org/forms. You do not need to log in to fill out the form, just click on "Fill Out". After the application has been submitted, your references and vet(s) will be contacted, and a background check done. Then a decision will be made as to approval in PFM. If you are approved to adopt from PFM, then a determination is made as to whether your choice of companion is approved by the foster home and directors. Once approved, the applicant is asked to send pictures of their home so a virtual home visit may be conducted. We can make suggestions before you receive your new companion(s) and everything will be ready. At this time, a contract for each new pet will be emailed to you along with an invoice. When the contracts are completed and returned and the invoice paid, the animal(s) will be marked as adopted and a time set for the actual adoption. That will consist of either the animal(s) being brought to your home or you coming to pick up the animal(s). It is between the adopter and the foster home. When this occurs, we do expect to be able to meet everyone who is living in the home. On adoption day, you will receive a folder with each animal's medical report, rabies certificate, instructions on how to register the microchip, and other items of interest (including a checklist to help you keep track of things) Once the animal is in your home, there is a two-week TRIAL period . If either you or PFM does not feel the match is appropriate, the adoption will be voided and the adoption service fee returned. So, with Purr-Fect Match, you get a chance to know the newest member of your famiy. During the two-week period, you can work with the foster parent and others of our knowledgeable volunteers to help the adjustment. Our animals live in homes, so we know a lot about them.
