Purple Power Animal Welfare Society is a network of volunteers dedicated to saving and improving the lives of at-risk dogs and cats in Kansas and beyond. Founded in 2012, we have rescued more than 3,000 animals from death row and abusive/neglectful situations. Purple PAWS intakes new dogs and cats (of any age, breed and background) almost every week. We are a foster-based rescue. All of our animals go to foster homes, where they are integrated into family life and prepared for adoption. Ultimately, Purple PAWS strives to place our rescued pets into permanent, adoptive homes where their specific needs will be met and personalities will be adored. Thanks to our volunteers, adopters, and supporters, Purple PAWS has rescued and successfully re-homed thousands of dogs and cats that would have otherwise been euthanized. With the continued support from our generous community, we plan to save thousands more!
