We are a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization and exist for the sole purpose of finding permanent homes for rescued and unwanted pugs in both South Korea and the U.S.A. While every attempt is made to keep the pugs in their country of origin, their re-home rate in Korea is very low. In these instances, the pugs are then flown to Los Angeles, California to find forever homes. We are a group of dedicated volunteers located in both South Korea and California. With about 3-4 steady volunteers in each country, none of our volunteers are paid for their services and do this entirely on their own time, and at their own expense. If you are interested in helping, some of the duties include assisting with pug pickups and transportation at LAX and Korean Air Cargo (both in Los Angeles), responding to emails, coordinating international paperwork/fees, and occasionally fostering pugs in the Southern California area.
If you would like to adopt a pug through Pug Rescue of Korea, please fill out our digital application. As a show of good faith, we are requesting a donation of $10 for our volunteers to review your application. The process at PRK is the application submission, application review, meet and greet with your desired pug (local adoptions only), a home check, and then the final adoption. Available pugs are listed on our Facebook page as soon as they are ready for adoption.
