The Pike Animal Shelter is a 75 animal capacity facility, located in Troy, Alabama. The Pike Animal Shelter's goal is to foster a positive relationship between the community and it’s potentially adoptable cats and dogs. Our facility works daily with both city and county animal control officers, as well as the public, to maintain a healthy environment both in and outside of the shelter. The Pike Animal Shelter operates under its current standard operating procedure to ensure the best quality care is given to each animal on a case by case basis. Each animal upon intake is vetted and provided the best possible medical care available. A healthy animal stay and ultimately adoption, (long term “forever home”) placement is our goal.
Adoptions are conducted daily and cost only $100 (cats and dogs). This $100 fee does include parvo, rabies, and worming medications. Your adoption fee also includes the cost of a spay or neuter at a locally approved veterinarian, as long as the adoptee has the approved paperwork issued by the shelter, as per our policy. Intakes and adoptions are not conducted on Sunday.
