Pets Alive is a no-kill animal rescue, located in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, about 1 1/2 hours from New York City. Our mission is to build a humane community supporting the human-animal bond by being a resource through rescue, adoption, intervention, education, and outreach. Pets Alive is one of the oldest no-kill organizations in the United States. Animals at Pets Alive include dogs, cats and farm animals. Many of the animals at Pets Alive are older, have special needs or require special care.
Adoptions are being done by appointment only. You can view all our animals on our website. Have questions about an animal you see here on our website? Please email us at adoptions@petsalive.org and this will put you into direct contact with our adoptions team, who will be happy to answer your questions. See someone you would like to meet? Please fill out our online application and wait to hear from our adoption team. They will be in touch with you to set up either a virtual "meet and greet" or an in-person appointment.
