PetResQ Ohio’s mission is to save the lives of as many companion animals as we possibly can. We work to prevent the unnecessary deaths of companion animals by rescuing, providing adequate nutrition and veterinary care (including, but not limited to: spaying and neutering; required immunizations; treatment of illness, unhealthy conditions or injuries); training and rehabilitation; socialization; placement into safe, adequate foster homes; and ultimately adoption into appropriate permanent homes. Particular focus shall be placed on rescuing those animals that are subject to risk of death due to confinement in facilities such as animal shelters, pounds, kennels, etc., where policies exist to end the lives of animals by lethal injection and other modes when these facilities are at maximum capacity; and also those dogs that are at such risk and/or are non-candidates to public adoption based solely on their specific breed(s). We work to educate the public by promoting responsible pet ownership and providing available options for assistance to reduce the necessity for re-homing animals, and to reduce the numbers of animals entering shelters. We work to educate the public on animal cruelty in attempts to lessen the incidences of such. PetResQ Ohio works to seek and utilize as many resources as possible and available to us to save as many lives as possible.
If you are interested in one of our pets for adoption, please complete the application and email it to us. Once the application has been reviewed we will contact you for a meet and greet and proceed with the adoption from there. We do have an adoption agreement that must be signed and adhered to in order to finalize the adoption. Our standard adoption fee is $200.00 dependent on the animals needs. We also do home visits and follow up visits and enjoy hearing from our adopters to let us know how their newest family member has settled in. We are available at any time for any questions or concerns regarding an animal that has been adopted from us. If you have problems with the application, please contact us. Thank you for your time and consideration.
