Pet Adoptions of Cuero is a non-profit animal shelter in Cuero, Texas, built on the dedication of individuals that saw a need and knew they couldn't just sit idly by. Since 2012, these individuals have not only created a permanent shelter, but the volunteer staff oversee shelter operations to ensure all pets receive adequate food, water, medical care, and socialization. In 2012, we became a bona fide 501c3 non-profit, and Pet Adoptions as an organization has been growing ever since. We are constantly taking dogs and cats that are picked up by animal control, getting them up to date on vaccinations, and caring for them until we can find them the perfect forever homes.
We welcome guests from near or far to visit our shelter to see our wonderful selection of adoptable cats and dogs. There is a one page application to complete when a pet is chosen. We require our adopters to be 18 or older, have a photo ID, and will be able to care for the pet at their home. Our staff will interview each potential adopter to determine if the pet is a good fit for its new family. Our goal is to have happy pets and happy pet parents.
