Pawfect Match Rescue And Rahibilitation - Holly Springs Pet Shelter

Pawfect Match Rescue And Rahibilitation

At Pawfect Match Rescue we believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance regardless of their breed or age. We take a different approach to rescue. We don’t try to save the masses; we just save ONE at a time and make them the best dog they can be by the time they find their forever homes. By that we mean that we take them into our homes where they live amongst us and our pets and are treated as one of the family, not as a foster dog. Besides the basics of crate training and house training, we teach them basic obedience, we groom them, feed them a high quality dog food, and last but not least, we shower them with LOVE and attention that hopefully teaches them to trust again and realize that life really IS good.. We’ll never be able to save them all, no matter how many we try to pull and foster. So we believe that the one at a time approach with the extra TLC allows us to really KNOW the dogs and be able to match them more precisely with their new families. This ends up being a win - win situation for all involved. Pawfect Match Rescue was incorporated as a 501c3 nonprofit organization on February 28, 2006.

Adoption Process

The first step is to fill out our adoption application. All applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Once we receive your application, the second step will be for our volunteers to check your vet reference and talk with your personal references. The third step, if your application is approved, is for our volunteers to contact you about scheduling a home check. This is not to see what kind of house you live in or how clean or dirty it is. It is simplyto see if the yard size, fencing, etc is compatible with your dog of interest. It also allows other animals in your household as well as children to meet your potential new dog to see if everyone will get along and to make sure this is truly a "pawfect" match! After all three of these steps are completed, the final step is to sign the adoption contract and make the adoption donation fee of $350.00 This may seem high, but it is actually a bargain! Your new pet will be up to date on the necessary vaccinations required by the age of the dog at time of adoption, spayed or neutered, on hearworm preventative and flea and tick meds, micro-chipped, groomed, and well on his or her way with basic obedience and house training. All of our dogs will be adopted out with a collar and leash, and a PMR tag. NOTE - If you have "spam protection" turned on for your email account, please set a white filter to allow emails from [email protected] to pass. We will NOT respond to spam protection response emails.
