Pawesomebaby - Issaquah Pet Shelter

Rescuing huskies & super mutts from where they are very less likely to be adopted, and rehome. We are a team of two friends rescuing huskies & super mutts from places where they are less likely to be adopted, and find committed & passionate adopters in the Pacific Northwest! My teammate Balram is located in Vancouver, Canada and me (Chanchal) in Seattle, USA. Even though we can’t help every dog, it’s so rewarding to see the very few dogs we help, flourishing in loving homes. If you’d like to support our mission, you can share our adoptable dogs with serious adopters, and follow & support the organizations that helped their happily-ever-after journey.

Adoption Process

Adoption process usually involves virtual and in person meet & greet, application form, reference checks, and an adoption contract. We charge an adoption fee of USD400-450 (CAD600-650) to make sure they go to good homes. The fees will be used to pay towards some of their expenses (such as international flight travel, other expenses after arriving US/Canada, such as local transportation, foster care and veterinary care expenses. We also sponsor boarding, medical care for some dogs while they are in Lebanon). All our dogs are seen by a local veterinarian and fecal tests done before adopted out. The expenses we take on to help a single dog, ranges anywhere from $1000-$3000, huge variables being how we fly the dogs here and extra medical care. Even though we are not a federally registered charity, we are 100% non-profit. We are full time Engineers and funds our mission ourselves when we can afford it, just to get these huskies to well deserving forever homes. We also stay friends with all our adopters and meet up every once in a while.
