P.U.R.R. West Virginia is a grass-roots, non-profit 501(c)3 volunteer organization funded entirely by grants and tax-deductible donations from cat lovers like you. Your donation goes directly to providing on-going care year round for abused and orphaned kitties, to heal their bodies and spirits on their way to a new chance in a furr-ever home. And for those who may not find the perfect family, PURR offers a safe place for the rest of their lives. At any given day, about 260 cats live in open rooms where they can roam and play, where they can socialize with other cats and with our volunteers. Thanks to your generosity, the cats have a quality of life they would otherwise not have. Did you know that PURR WV is a sanctuary for cats who are "unadoptable" due to age, illness or disposition? PURR WV has many amazing cats who reside in the sanctuary and need daily care like medical exams, medicine, food, water, litter, and of course, a comfortable place to live our their years! PURR WV's sanctuary has all sorts of residents: some with terminal cancer, some with chronic skin conditions, some who are just simply considered elderly. PURR WV is able to provide long-term care for these special animals through support and donations of cat lovers like YOU! PURR WV thanks you for any donation, no matter how large or small, so that we are able to continue providing loving care for these animals for the rest of their lives.
Please contact us for an application, the first step toward adopting one of the PURR babies. You can come visit the cats when the application process is completed. We encourage you to spend some time with the cats and get to know their purrsonalities. Cats are all different, just like people.
