Ozzie And Friends Rescue - Rowland Heights Pet Shelter

Ozzie And Friends Rescue

Ozzie and Friends Rescue (OAFR) was founded in December 2016 by Nancy Jimeno out of love and passion for saving and rescuing dogs. Her passion stemmed from the tragic loss of her dog, Don Juan, due to prostate cancer. OAFR is able to continue its work due to the dedication of four employees and 10 volunteers on any given day. Officially a nonprofit 501(c)3 as of 2017, OAFR has partnered with Pet Food Express, Pet Smart, and various pet expos for adoption events and networking. In 2017, OAFR acquired a 28-run kennel in Rowland Heights where dogs of all sizes and breeds are housed, trained and worked with by professional trainers, walkers and experts in the rescue community. To say the very least, the pups in our care are very much loved and our dedication to success is unending. Yearly OAFR places an average of 300-400 dogs from all backgrounds with loving families. OAFR has gained exposure through Buzzfeed, social media and word of mouth. We’ve rescued dogs from Mexico and California and do not shy away from dogs that are feral, at risk, in danger of dying, neglect, and owner surrenders ranging from newborns to seniors. To date, OAFR continues to provide service and support to anyone seeking to become a parent to a dog in need of their forever home.
