Owen County Friends of Animals was established in 2005 to support a no-kill initiative. The organization runs purely off of donations and efforts from a very small group of volunteers. Success is based largely on rescue groups across the country, donations, and additional volunteers.
The adoption fee is $100, which includes blood tests for ehrlichia, lyme, and heartworm, all vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchip. OCFA strives to educate pet owners about spay and neuter practices.
