Oakhurst Guinea Pig Rescue is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization based in Decatur Georgia dedicated to finding forever homes for unwanted, abused and neglected guinea pigs. Oakhurst Guinea Pig Rescue provides a variety of services to help unwanted, abused and neglected guinea pigs and find their new loving forever home.
1. Read - OGPR Guinea Pig 101 Blueprints for Adoption is a book we have developed over the years to help both new and experienced guinea pig parents with proper care. We consider this a living document and update when we come across new techniques in care and housing. With this information all adaptors will have the knowledge to welcome their new family members. 2. Watch - This movie was written and produced by one of Oakhurst Guinea Pig Rescues super foster! It goes into some of the same great information as our book but has some great videos and examples which are fun to see on the big screen! Enjoy! 3. Take - We ask all adopters to take a quick fifteen question test to help be sure they under stand the basics care and health requirements. Once the test is complete save your certificate and bring to the adoption! 4. Apply - The last step is completing the online application! This is easily done through our Shelterluv software. Once OGPR receives your application will receive an email with the next steps!
