Northport Cat Rescue Association is committed to helping abused and abandoned cats by providing veterinary care and through a reasonable adoption process finding these animals their forever homes.
Our adoption process is easy. Visit our cats, break out the cat wands, spend as much time as you need to know if it’s the right fit. Since adopting a cat is a family affair, bring the whole gang! As we all know, true love can take time so there’s no need to rush. You may even want to come back for a second visit to see if it’s right. Please take a moment to fill out an Adoption Application. To insure all of our furry friends are placed with loving families who will care for their new pet and provide them with a forever home, we call every reference provided by the applicant, including landlord if applicable and current/previous veterinarian used. Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered. It’s important to answer every question. We need complete phone numbers and addresses whenever asked throughout the application. If “own home” is checked on the application, the applicant’s name need to appear on the deed of the house. Otherwise, we will ned explicit permission from the owner of the house that a cat can be brought to the premises. The application will help us make the perfect match for you and your family. Once your application has been approved, and you have decided which cat you'd like to adopt, we'll set up an appointment with you to sign some forms, collect adoption fee, and you will take the newest addition to your family to their loving home.
