Northern Plains Boxer Rescue is a non-profit, all volunteer effort where every boxer counts. The organization strives to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home all boxers in need. Northern Plains Boxer Rescue makes every effort to educate the public about the boxer breed and responsible pet ownership.
Complete the adoption application online. Submit Application Donation - In order to start your application, we ask you to submit a $25 Application Donation. Submit via the Donate tab or send a check to NPBR mailed to NPBR, P.O. Box 540855 Omaha NE, 68154. Complete approval process - Applicant must be 21 or older. Vet and personal reference checks will be performed. The applying party must meet the required vetting for personal animals, including vetting history such as: Dogs and cats need to be spayed and neutered. Dogs and cats need to be up to date on rabies and distemper vaccinations. Dogs must be heartworm tested and on heartworm prevention. Written landlord approval (if renting) is required. Complete a telephone interview. All application information goes before our committee for approval. Schedule and complete a home visit - Home visits generally take 30-45 minutes to evaluate the interior and exterior of the applicants home. If home is outside of our Rescue Volunteer area, arrangements for a visit must be made with a local entity or via technology like FaceTime or Skype. Finalize the adoption - Home visit information, application, and references all will go before our committee for final approval. Applicants will receive an approved or denied email as a final application step. If denied, NPBR will list the reasoning.
